Arm-Knitted Scarves

While on Spring Break, I learned the VERY easy and VERY quick way to make a beautiful, warm, big, cozy and snuggly scarf! It is called Arm-Knitting! Before this, I have never knitted before or even attempted it...I've heard a few too many horror stories from people about it all just unraveling and falling apart when they try to take their project off their needles so I've stuck to crocheting for now. But! With arm-knitting, it made for a really simple project and by using really thick/chunky yarn, the scarf (or whatever you're making!) builds up fast so it makes for a super quick project that can be finished in under an hour! I watched this video, How to Arm Knit from Simply Maggie Blog and that's all I needed. She goes through each step very clearly and slowly then does it several times so you can get the hang of it....and of course, you can watch it as many times as you need to (I watched it quite a few times for a few clarifications here and there!) and she has more tips/hints on her blog. Also, there are several other fun projects as well on her blog!

Here are the two infinity arm-knitted scarves that I made while on Spring Break: The yarn I used was Loops & Threads Cozy Wool. It is SO soft and SO thick! When making these scarves, you can use super chunky yarn like I did for a perfect winter scarf OR a thinner yarn for a scarf that would be perfect for the spring when it's still a little chilly but not cold enough for a scarf this big and chunky! Happy crafting! :)

bring on the week

This is the start of a busy but yet awesome week! First off, in baby news, I am officially in the second trimester, crazy! And at this time next weekend, I will be hanging out with my whole family....yay!! My parents are starting their drive up to Iowa/the midwest tomorrow and are making quite the rounds to see old friends and family. On Friday, Jordan and I are heading up to Madison to my brother's to spend the weekend with everyone. Ahhh I can't wait! This is a busy week with two papers due and a tough quiz but all of the studying and school work will make the week go fast hopefully! I seriously can't wait to be reunited with my family in less than a week! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and has a wonderful start to their week!

Friday Funnies - 4.5.13

Wow! Well it has definitely been quite the exciting and eventful week around here to say the least! We have completely went public with our news about Baby E by posting the announcement and by updating all of the weekly pictures onto my blog. It has been so fun and heartwarming that's for sure! So many people love and support us and are sooo excited for the arrival of Baby E. That just adds to our excitement and we can't wait! Things are good so far and I hope they continue to be this great! Anyway, it's Friday, whoop whoop!!! Jordan is working at the golf course this weekend since it is officially golf weather so he's going to be busy working there tomorrow and Sunday! Looks like plenty of time for me and Paisley to get some chores done around the house, snuggling watching some movies and caught up on school work! I love lazy weekends! Next weekend we are heading up to Madison to be with my family and I FINALLY get to see my parents! Ahhh! I haven't seen my Dad since November and my mom since February....super crappy! So I'm bursting at the seams with excitement knowing I get to see them in one week!!!!! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend and do something that you enjoy with people you love!
LOL! I don't do FaceBook, but I can relate! ;0)

8 Months...and ready for the adventure of our lives!

This I Promise You
By: N*Sync
When the visions around you,
Bring tears to your eyes

And all that surround you,

Are secrets and lies

I'll be your strength,

I'll give you hope,

Keeping your faith when it's gone

The one you should call,

Was standing here all along..

And I will take
You in my arms

And hold you right where you belong

Till the day my life is through

This I promise you

This I promise you

I've loved you forever,
In lifetimes before

And I promise you never...

Will you hurt anymore

I give you my word

I give you my heart (give you my heart)

This is a battle we've won

And with this vow,

Forever has now begun...

Just close your eyes (close your eyes)
Each loving day (each loving day)

I know this feeling won't go away (no..)

Till the day my life is through

This I promise you..

This I promise you..

Over and over I fall (over and over I fall)
When I hear you call

Without you in my life baby

I just wouldn't be living at all...

And I will take (I will take you in my arms)
You in my arms

And hold you right where you belong (right where you belong)

Till the day my life is through

This I promise you baby

Just close your eyes
Each loving day (each loving day)

I know this feeling won't go away (no..)

Every word I say is true

This I promise you
Every word I say is true
This I promise you

Ooh, I promise you...

Happy 8 month wedding anniversary, Mr. E!
We are in for the adventure of our lives together becoming parents!
I can't wait for what's ahead of us!
You are a wonderful husband and you will make an amazing daddy!
All my love, KE

12 Weeks

week 12 update: ah we are finally all caught up and this is currently 12 weeks! I can't believe the first trimester is almost over. Everyone always says that is the worst trimester and how miserable it is but I have seemed to have somehow escaped it with minimal damages done! My energy is finally coming back, my face is clearing up and my emotions (some times!) are under control it seems so I think my hormones might actually be leveling off finally as we head into the second trimester! Hearing Peanut's heartbeat for the second time was truly amazing....Jordan and I get more and more excited every day at the thought of our baby and becoming parents! We make a great team and I am so lucky to have such a wonderful guy in my life as my husband and the father to my children!

11 Weeks

week 11 update: I'm definitely feeling refreshed after my trip to Florida even though at times it was exhausting! And I am so happy to be back home with Jordan and Paisley...I missed them both so much! The weather is starting to warm up so that means all of the delicious spring/summer beers are starting to come out so seeing those really makes me want one pretty bad. I know Peanut is definitely worth not having one for though but that doesn't stop me from craving one when I see it! I have been on a big health kick this week by non-stop eating fruits, veggies, salads and everything fresh. Definitely not a bad thing and if I'm going to crave anything, I'm glad it's healthy stuff! I'm sure some crazy cravings are bound to happen here in the next few weeks though since I'm starting to feel hungry every 1-2 hours!

10 Weeks

week 10 update: holy cow! I can't believe that I am already 1/4 through this! It definitely does not seem like 10 weeks have already passed by because they have flown by! It helps that I have felt so good and things have been enjoyable so far so I hope the rest of the pregnancy is this uneventful and smooth sailing!
