How many dresses does a Bride need?

Well, so far my count is at five dresses. Yes, that's five dresses for the wedding. I have two dresses, one for each of my bridal showers. My "bride" party dress for my bachelorette party that I will also be rewearing the day of the wedding. The rehearsal dinner dress. And obviously, my wedding dress! Good thing I love getting all fancied up and can't wait to rock all of my new dresses this summer! Here's what I have lined up....

Classy & Conservative
I will be wearing this dress coming up this weekend for my first bridal shower that Jordan's sisters are hosting and throwing for me. The group of ladies that will be attending are kind of old school and on the conservative side (well, compared to the group of crazy women coming to the shower in my hometown that is!) but still all awesome and great people, so I thought I would try to class it up a bit. It has a nice scoop neck that comes an inch or two below my collar bone and a cute ruffle from the left shoulder across the front to accent it. And I love the pretty soft colors on it. I found this at Von Maur, originally priced for $68.00. It was on sale for $32.00, bonus!
Fun & Flowy
I love the cut outs along the wide neck line!
This dress I will be wearing the following weekend at my bridal shower that my sister and bridesmaid Monica are hosting and throwing for me. This crowd will be younger, more my style and fun so that's why I went with this one! It looks realllly red in these pictures but it's more of a coral-red than just bright red. It's definitely a pop of big summer color! And the cut outs along the neck line give it some drama. I found this at TJ Maxx and it was on sale for $15.99. I'm going to pair it with a wide black belt I have to cover the cinched waist and make it more defined.
Romantic & Real Perfect
And this is my rehearsal dinner dress! Eeek! I had been debating back and forth and arguing with myself about what color I wanted to wear for the rehearsal. A pop of color? A fun pattern or design? Or go bridal and wear ivory or white?? I decided to go with the ivory because A. I know I won't match any one else at the rehearsal dinner (at least I better not!!!) and B. because how often can a girl wear white and get away with it?!! I tried this dress on a few weeks ago at Francesa's and fell in love it. But not so much the price. I just couldn't justify the cost for this one dress that unless I dye or somehow revamp, probably will only wear again on our honeymoon. So I left the store bummed and couldn't get it out of my head. Any other dress I saw online or in stores just didn't compare. Three weeks had since passed from when I first tried it on (and had checked the price on it two other times while at the mall) so today after work, I just had a feeling. I made a pit stop at the mall and my gut feeling was right. The dress was on sale now AND all sale items received 30% off that price! AND the one and only size they had left was MY size!!!!!! Since I had previously tried it on, I just walked straight to the cash register. And it rang up at the sweet price of $32.00! Yay! It is so beautiful with the scalloped neck and hemline, soft v-neck down the front, ivory lace, v-in the back and the black fabric belt. It is unattached so I might find a purple one to wear for the rehearsal but if not, I love the black paired with it. This dress goes perfect with our whole wedding and I'm so happy I trusted my gut and went back in today to check it out! I can't wait to rock all of these and know that my patience paid off waiting to find the perfect dress for each occasion without breaking the bank. I literally found a good deal and bargain on all of these dresses! Having them hanging in my closet reminds me every morning how close we are getting to the big day! Now I'm looking forward to being showered with gifts and love this weekend!
